Endless Mode Adventures: Hunting Mewtwo and Making Suggestions
Greetings fellow gamers! I’m currently on a thrilling journey in the endless mode in Pokerogue and Pokerogue Dex , where I’ve reached an impressive wave count of over 2300+. My quest? To capture the legendary Mewtwo! As I delve deeper into this endless gameplay experience, I’ve gathered my thoughts and observations to share with you all.
The Allure of Endless Mode
Right from the start, endless mode has proved to be incredibly addictive. The combination of quick gameplay and a smooth loop makes it easy to jump in for a quick session or lose track of time during longer play sessions. I can’t get enough of watching those damage numbers skyrocket; it truly brings a smile to my face. Additionally, seeing Pokémon with moves they typically don’t learn adds a layer of strategy that is refreshing and exhilarating.
Having the potential to find additional shiny variants is also a fantastic touch. It motivates me to keep playing, not only for the thrill of advancing through waves but also for the hope of spotting a shiny with a design that stands out—what a delightful surprise that would be!
Suggestions for Improvement
While I am enjoying the game immensely, there are several opportunities for improvements that could enhance the endless mode further. One glaring issue is the enemy damage reduction combined with damage tokens. It's baffling to be thousands of levels higher than an opponent, only to be eliminated in a single hit. A cap on enemy damage reductions or making each subsequent token provide diminishing returns would be beneficial.
Moreover, the game would be more enjoyable if there were more items available within each tier, especially master and rogue items. Once you collect full stacks, they become nearly useless, which is disappointing considering how powerful those tiers could be.
Diversity in Strategies
Furthermore, the best strategy currently revolves around a single carry Pokémon. To promote more team diversity, I propose adding a feature that allows players to elevate a chosen Pokémon’s level to match their strongest Pokémon. This adjustment could add a fun twist without disrupting game balance, allowing players to explore various strategies.
Lastly, I think players should have the option to choose their targeted legendary Pokémon for the gacha system. There are so many legendaries available, making the wait for a specific one feel tedious and frustrating.
Overall, this game has provided me with endless enjoyment, reminiscent of the best ROM hacks and fan-made creations out there. I eagerly await the day I finally catch that coveted Mewtwo!
