Wanting to modernise old timber windows – ideas?
I’ve got a heritage-style home in Melbourne with old timber windows. I want to modernise the look and improve insulation, but still keep a classic feel. Has anyone done something similar?

Absolutely, I had a similar project last year. I didn’t want to lose the traditional aesthetic, but the old single-pane windows were awful for insulation. I went with glazed windows from KP Buildtech – they offer custom solutions that blend well with heritage homes. Much warmer in winter now and no condensation issues either.
